Met Olga and her group for a very cold dip in Lake Ontario today. They meet every Sunday at noon, in all weathers, swim, chat and share food. They are all Russians. It seems that Canadians don’t see the same attraction of cold swimming as they do. Some local passers by thought we were a little crazy, but then that is no different to what they think in England. We didn’t stay in long, but had a lovely lunch followed by much chatting. Along with the SLSC the most friendly bunch of people I’ve ever met. I hope I’ll be able to show them the same generosity if they visit London.
