Down to Calshot Beach on Friday with biker boy Gary, to swim with my mate, Martin. A cup of tea and a twix later, we stripped off and waded some distance out to find water deep enough to swim in. The water was clear and we could see the mats of seagrass below us and the odd passing frond of red weed. Gary kept swimming in circles and eventually got cold, so Martin and I swam together up to Luttrell’s Tower and back. Coming back was highly assisted by the current and we fair swept along.

Then back to the beach for some shivering, sausage baguettes and Bailey-ed coffee. And a blat back to SE London for tea.
