high speed burst

Pip freezes his b******ks off

Mrs Ape reports

Attempted to get to the pool early today to take photos of people rather than just empty water.  Decided to take most pictures using the high speed burst feature on my Lumix FT10, so today is a small selection of the 350 odd photos taken!  The water remains hovering above freezing which means the ice has melted sufficiently to do lengths.  Decided I should time myself today to see how long I actually spent in the water.  Brain freeze had obviously set in as I forgot to stop my Poolmate when I got out, but estimate it was around the 8 minute mark .  Nice to see the other two lido bloggers and have the opportunity to all take photos of each other.  Unfortunately I missed Alex swimming so see here and many thanks to Elizabeth for taking some photos of me.  She also got some great shots today, see here.  Good news via Facebook – Bertie Portal and James Cash crossed the finish line of their epic row across the Atlantic this morning 4:08 Barbados time.  Many congratulations to them both.

  1. great shots Mrs. Ape – that high speed burst mode really comes into it’s own! I love the photo of Pip under water pushing off whilst the reflection of the doors cover his back! beautiful!

  2. Love the one of Tricky!

Love that high speed burst! Easy when you have three arms! Good to see you, nice pictures.

Love the photos – I can’t imagine how cold it must be. We think we haven’t had a great summer here in Sydney, Australia – but it’s never that cold! Good on you for braving the chilly waters!
