half a baker’s dozen

06/03/2012 by Carl Reynolds

Going down. What’s occurring, as the people of Barry Island might say? 6.5 degrees C. And a cold wind. The people in the cafe – Nando, Pip (x2), Kevin and Ian – had done short swims…with the honourable exception of Nando who clocked up ten lengths. We were reluctant swimmers. Thought we’d do four or six. But ended up doing 1400 yards (Ape) and 1000 yards (Mrs Ape).

No pictures today. No Mrs Ape cake, but a wonderful slice of Chris Stanton’s Almond, Pear and Tahini cake. Feel real good though.
