The view from our flat – Giltar Rock on North Beach

55 steps to the beach. A six to seven metre tidal reach. Views towards the Gower and many other Pembrokeshire beaches stretching east and west to play on. We went to Barafundle one day, but spent the rest in Tenby. North Beach – it’s perfect. It was warm, but not hot, the water was around 15C, there was a swell most days and on others some fantastic rollers to bodysurf and swim through. We ate amply and well (having three cooks in one place helps – me, Mrs Ape and Nando Cuca), swam many times, wrote a short film and enjoyed having no internet access. Bliss.

For a more considered take on the trip read Nando’s blog entry here.

A one week self organised swimming holiday for three came to around £350 each (accommodation, food and transport).
