Autumn Sunday

the leaf pile ritual (?)

Overcast and damp, but not enough to keep us in bed on a Sunday morning. We fetched up after the races – won by Stuart – and joined Nando and Pip in the pool. My back is out again, so managed a paltry four lengths before the twinging got too much. And, unexpectedly, the sauna was open, so in for a chat and a sweat before indulging in a gentle game of patball and a slice of Mrs Ape’s cake.

Spoke to Stuart and James about the sudden onset of lower back pain – Stuart suffered once whilst getting a chicken out of the oven; and it was only a pouisson. Science and creationism in the sauna; channel swim training with Sue and Kathryn; and general blokey stuff with all the geezers.

Sorry to read about your back, must be the time of year. I didn’t swim this weekend, just the same.
