ice mile

Jackie Cobell and Giovanna Richards – hardy women of Kent – are organising a ice mile on Sunday 10th February. You can see details on Giovanna’s website. I look forward to seeing some of you other (fool)hardy souls down there.

Eight SLSCers have qualified for the Polar Bears cap – a km under 5 degrees C – I hope some of them have the grit to get this achievement too.

  1. Thank you Carl.
This is the first Ice Mile Event held in the Country. We want to make it a safe, friendly and extraordinary day for all hardy cold water swimmers brave enough to take the challenge!

    • Giovanna – I’m looking forward to it. Hopefully I’ll persuade some other SLSCers. You might get some Irish interest too – my friends down near Sandycove Island.
