After the wonderful Slava Snowshow yesterday I felt a continuing sense of wonder; despite a rude awakening at 6am. Car packed with two sets of swimming togs (one for Tooting and one for Crystal Palace) we set off to drop the youngster at school for 8am. It was an INSET day; or as it’s been known to aforementioned youngster for over a decade, an INSECT day. So I was dropped outside CP and t’others were off to shop and back home. Being early it was £4.50, rather than £2.50, but to my mind still a bargain. An hour and 3.2km later, I was out and walking back, feeling the endorphins, nice ache in the upper arms and the refreshing coolness of the park air. The programme begins.
