swimming – a personal reflection

15/08/2013 by Carl Reynolds

Yesterday I had the privilege of being taken through a voluntary training session by Alfonso, in the company of whizz kid Alfie, the magnificent Nandini, Pip the Elegant and Julie ‘Pocket Rocket’ Brand; a mackerel breakfast with Dom; a series of bite-sized, but engaging chats with swimmers various; and a fast and frantic game of LidoFives with Philosopher King Nick. Need I add more?

Nice to see Musings back. Sounds like a perfect morning (except for the mackerel); no cake?
Did Alfonso sort you out (as they say in Sarf Lundun)?

Hope you had a good time in Tenby, looking forward to catching up. Were you at the Lido the weekend? I snook in for the last hour 4-5pm on Sunday after putting the boys on their train. Rumour has it the pool is open 5.30-7.30 every night this week for members….
