It’s October. The water is still in the mid-teens C, people are wearing t-shirts and shorts and squinting in the bright sunlight. The public are now denied access for a few months. It’s all for the members of the SLSC. We make over £100 selling unwanted CDs; three lots of cake get munched; 15 odd try in the impromptu butterfly race; 40+ in the official races…it’s busy, bustling and buzzing with glee.
