Began the month with a swim at Goodrington South with a posse of swimmers on a two day round the bay in 18 swims and hike. Then I was off to Improv class while they trudged on for the rest of the day, before I caught up with them again at Breakwater Beach and Shoalstone Pool for an evening swim.

The following weekend we were down on the Gribben Head and surrounds walking with another group of SW Swimmers taking in clear waters, high cliffs, hill forts and seeing Dawn French in our restaurant. As well as a very large barrel jellyfish.

September 14th being my birthday we strolled up Brent Tor, wandered the woods around Hembury and swam in the bright waters, before a moonlight swim with Ron’s massive over at Coryton Cove.

At Newquay I don’t find time to swim either side of my gig race, but enjoyed being out in the bay in a tough race.
